Regulatory base analysis of managing the pharmaceutical companies social responsibility

Abstract

Every year, the problem of implementing a socially responsible business model is becoming increasingly important both abroad and in Ukraine. It is actual to develop scientific and methodological approaches to regulate these issues.

Aim. To research requirements of the international quality standards for management of socially responsible activity of the pharmaceutical enterprises.

Materials and methods. Methods of analysis, synthesis, empirical methods, method of control poll.

Results. In article it is defined that social responsibility of pharmaceutical business is an ability of subjects of pharmaceutical branch to undertake obligations of financial, economic, social and ecological character for consequences of their activity before all interested parties which is implemented through ethical behavior taking into account interests and expectations of all stakeholders at observance of the current legislation and the international standards on the principles of voluntariness and mutual benefit. It is proved that socially responsible activity of the domestic pharmaceutical companies demands appropriate providing and has considerable regulatory base. Authors carried out the analysis of the international quality standards concerning regulation of the directions of socially responsible activity of the pharmaceutical enterprises. The group of the international standards on components of social responsibility of pharmaceutical business is carried out. The rank analysis of frequency of introduction of the international standards by the Ukrainian pharmaceutical companies is carried out.

Conclusions. Today the creation of social responsibility system of pharmaceutical business according to requirements of the international quality standards remains relevant for subjects of Ukrainian pharmaceutical branch. In the conditions of tough competition for loyalty of consumers and also intention of an entry of the domestic pharmaceutical companies into foreign market, introduction on the domestic pharmaceutical enterprises of the international quality standards which concern social responsibility of business does very relevant. Introduction of the specified standards strengthens image of the domestic pharmaceutical companies, promotes strengthening of positive business reputation, leads to strengthening of competitive positions of the Ukrainian pharmaceutical enterprises both on domestic, and on international the pharmaceutical markets.
