Question introduction to the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine monography «Sophora Flower», «Sophora Flower bud»

On the territory of Ukraine the data research for the quality of flowers and flower-buds of Sophora are absent. It is important to mention the topicality of our research in development of a draft monograph in State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine 2.1 on these types of medicinal plant material. Aim. To carry out experimental work was carried out on approbation (verification) of methods for quality indicators of Sophora Japonica flowers and flower-buds according to the requirements of the corresponding monographs of European Pharmacopoeia 8.3 and the State Pharmacopoeia of Ukraine 2.1. Results. The conducted researches showed that flowers and flower-buds during macroscopic and microscopic tests, determination of quality indices such as mass loss in drying, general ash, foreign impurities, qualitative and quantitative determination of biologically active substances fulfilled the requirements of the current normative documentation – the monographs of the EPh «Sophora Flower», «Sophora Flower-bud». Conclusions. The experimental data obtained indicate that the raw materials of the sophora are compatible with the European requirements in the Ukrainian market and have been taken into account in the development of appropriate projects of monographs of SPU.
