Marketing researches of the veterinary drugs market used in mastitis treatment of cattle

Among the various forms of inflammations, mastitis of cattle is one of the most urgent infectious diseases for today. This disease has a number of complications, namely, latent flow, sepsis, bleeding as a result of blood vessels erosion (corrosiveness) and other. Mastitis of cattle also causes significant economic costs, which are associated with a decrease in number of milk products, reproductive dysfunction, preterm delivery and treatment costs.
Aim. To conduct marketing research on the veterinary drugs market used in mastitis treatment of cattle.
Results. Carrying out marketing research on anti-mastitis drugs, a permanent dominance of ukrainian medications and their presence on the domestic market was established. The ratio of domestic drugs with foreign drugs is (81.4 % to 18.6 %). When analyzing anti-mastitis drugs assortment, it was established that drugs of soft forms, namely suspensions for intracistinal injection – 48.8% are the absolute leaders.
Conclusions. The results of the analysis on manufacturing firms have established that among the domestic companies, the leaders are such companies as: Brovafarma – 10 names of medicines (taking into account the forms of production) of KhBBF and O.L.KAR. for 5 trade names. Antimastite products of foreign manufacture were registered by 6 manufacturing companies, among them leaders are: Bayer (Germany) and Kela (Belgium) by 2 trade names of drugs, Norbrook (Ireland), Invesa (Spain), Intervet (Netherlands) and Bioveta (Czech Republic) by 1 trade name of a drug.
